I think that this discussion is quite interesting. Let me share my thoughts:

1. McVay, while everybody and anybody can always improve, is the best coach the Rams have had so far. Our team is usually competitive, at the very least. We've gone to the playoffs fairly consistently except when we've had back luck with injuries like in 22. We've gone to the Superbowl twice already and won one of those. So, for me, I'm very thankful for McVay.
2. Although I also like KW, he will never be a real game changer. Besides his recent fumbling issues, he's just doesn't have the game breaking speed that, like for example Saquon has. And, as many people have already pointed out, Blake Corum is basically the same back as KW. I think we have this type of back only because we have not had the draft capital or the team cap available to get a game changing back. These kind of backs don't come around very often so they are not cheap if they are a free agent, or you need a first round pick. Another point I'd like to make is that if you have a good passing game with a very good running back, it really puts the defense in a "pick your poison" type of situation. I saw it somewhere but KW faces the least stacked box defenses of most starting running backs. This means that defenses don't fear him and it also means that the defense has one more defender for the passing game to use against us.
3. I think many people overlook the OL injuries. Like I put in another post, I've only watched the first half so far but 2 of the 3 sacks on Stafford in the first half were because McClendan.
4. I think most of the dink and dunk is because of item #2 and #3 above. The defense can play more guys defending the pass so it makes deeper shots more difficult. And, Stafford doesn't have enough time to do so many deep shots anyway. He'd be creamed if he has to wait for long developing routes.
