Stafford in 2022 and 2023 you are saying had more talent that Goff? I want to make sure I am following that?
Stafford even when he won the SB has never played behind an offensive line like Goff has in Detroit until now.
Now if you want to make the case that you think Goff is as good as Stafford then you should do that... don't be passive-aggressive about it.
Make your case. I have made mine and I don't think you have touched on any of those points
Game winning drives down to Kupp and no run game in either SB or NFCCG against SF
@ Tampa in the playoff the play to Kupp to get the Rams in FG range. Now seriously Saguaro... you know as well as I do Goff doesn't make that play. It doesn't even occur to him. When McVay says he brought in Stafford because he wanted a QB who could make him better...that play right there is exactly what he is talking about. I'm sorry my man but with all due respect Jare Goff ain't making this throw

Calvin Johnson greatest regular season in NFL history
Cooper Kupp greatest season in NFL history including the playoffs
Puka Nacua greatest season by a rookie WR in NFL history
I'm team Stafford... whose team are you on?

The stats comparison that was given is for the last 3 years and it looks close.
What really helps Matt Stafford in the comparison, is including 2021, because it was Stafford's best year of the 3, by far, and Goff's worst, by far.
In 2021, Stafford was on a Superbowl team, the Lions were just beginning a rebuild.
But if you look at production AND quality after 21, you get a much more dramatic difference.
Looking at 2022 and 2023 combined we get this per statmuse:
https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/nfl-passing-yards-leaders-2022-to-2023[attachment 11246 GoffandStafford23thru24.jpg]
(sorry it's blurry, your eyes aren't going bad. If you click on it, you get a clearer picture.)
To those who say Goff played 10 more games than Stafford, two things -
A - the number of games played should not affect the qualitative differences.
B - playing more games is a good thing, not an excuse. Availability is the best ability
In 22 and 23 combined Goff has: a better comp %, a better YPA, a better TD %, a better Int %, and, given all that, a better passer rating.
The argument that Stafford has more talent, especially in his prime, than Goff, can continue.
The argument over which one is playing better QB in the present is OVER.
