Again, he is a good QB. He's a hole they don't have to fill, and they get no blowback for their infamous blown pick because of him. He can execute the game plan, pick up the blitz and doesn't get rattled. I just don't see him as a closer. I also tire of the media fawning and I thought the MVP consideration was a joke. This has nothing to do with my hatred of the Niners... I just save the "great" moniker for those I feel deserve it. And the greats strike fear in the enemy. I don't fear Brock Purdy.
I just thought you said something different in your first post in terms of only blitz .... on that he's good. But he's limited, probably always will be, He's not great he's very good now ... but toward forward I see his as never going to have physical traits to be elite ... like some others.
I could be wrong but I pretty much agree, and now that you say he doesn't;'t get rattled and is good vs blitz we seem to have no disagreements.
