If they spend $17M on a RG then they're not spending somewhere else. I'd much rather add a top-flight Edge rusher or CB and go find another jettisoned RG to have Wendell coach up.

I love Dotson and want to extend him, but if the cap dictates either an elite edge or an elite RG, I’m signing the Edge every time. Pretty much same with CB if an elite one is on the table.
RG’s are easier to find than those other positions.it’s that simple.
FA is gonna be tricky for Snead this year but if he nails it then the foundation for a terrific offseason is in the palm of his hand and he can put on the finishing touches in the draft.
