I would bring up the 49'ers for comparison and what they went through when Jimmy G was lost for a couple of years.

In 2018 he played three games and they went 4-12.

True. And as a result of this record, they got the #2 pick in the draft and selected Nick Bosa (Pro Bowler). With the 36th pick, they selected Deebo Samuels (Pro Bowler). And with the 148th pick, they got Dre Greenlaw (solid starter).

Quote

In 2019 he played 16 games, they went 13-3 and lost in the superbowl

Yep. Thereafter, in the 2020 NFL Draft they drafted Javon Kinlaw (meh) with the 14th overall pick and Brandon Aiyuk (starter) with the 25th overall pick.

Quote

In 2019 he only played 6 games and they went 6-10

Assuming you meant 2020...But they had enough capital to move up to #2 in the 2021 draft to select Trey Lance (oops).

Quote

In 2021 he played 15 games and they went 10-7 and lost in the conference championship.

2022 NFL Draft: Drake Jackson with 61st overall pick (likely starter for them in 2023).

Yes, the 49'ers have been up and down depending on the health of their QB. But they got to the NFCCG with Mr. Irrelevant as their QB. I think that only occurs with a very good support system (which includes good draft picks) on both sides of the ball.

I guess we'll see if we have that type of support system, but I have my doubts.

No team has started more QBs or O-line combinations this year than the Rams
