The offense just couldn't score.
This board has often had comments about how the defense gave up too many long drives. I actually am amazed at how many of those drives ended in FG's. If the offense could have been scoring 24 points per game, there where a lot of wins there for the pickings.
and said so at the time, but not AS MANY as the offense and special teams.
So, it is just a matter of perspective . . . and while it's fine if someone thinks
that the Rams are a 5-12 team, that's fine...that was the record.
But I just disagree with any notion that this is a 5-12 team for any other
reason but 11 different oline combos in first 11 games.
There are Santa Barbara waves and then there are Waimea waves and then there
are Pe'ahi waves
2022 was Jaws injuries and Rams would have been in playoffs
if they were Waimea injuries and in NFCCG if it were Santa Barbara
injuries
I disagree - the o-line, if healthy, would still be getting trucked, & we would still be 5-12.
Unless/until the IOL is addressed (simply, Edwards, Allen, & RG are upgraded significantly),
Stafford will still be under duress, Akers will still be getting tackled behind the line, & we'll still be going 3 & out.
The D is not the overriding problem. The O-line needs a transfusion.
