Quotealyoshamucci Just noting, maybe even just for myself, what I'm looking for at the combine from each ... It should be noted that 3 cone and short shuttle are high priorities from our FO on prospects. So I won't mention that unless I really need to. 1. Williams 2. Maye 3. Daniels 4. McCarthy 5. Penix 6. Nix Arrange 2 and 3 how you want, but those 3 are first round locks. Then you can arrange 4 thru 6 any way you want, I personally have Nix and Penix in round 2. McCarthy is middle to later round 1. but even if they all make it in the 1st, the odds they are all drafted 18 or higher imo is less than 5%by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotealyoshamucci So if you're looking at 5 QBs ... all but Penix coming off ... (and he legitimately could as well) ... We're looking at 3 elite WRs. 1 elite TE. 1 elite DT (Newton) 3 elite edges. 3 elite OTs 3 elite CBs (2 Bama boys and Mitchell) That's MY top 19. The powers that be have 1 more DT, one more OT, and Fautano in that section. Some have Brian Thomas Jr. Also.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotealyoshamucci Finishing up the final groups ... ILBs have the worst "quality to draft" ratio I think in the NFL. Absolute studs are often drafted in the 4th and we just need a solid #2 so that means 6th. Also, we get the least visuals on LBs so instead of saying DNP I'll say DNS because I might have just not seen him. So in scenario 1: Rams trade the pick (plus others) for a player: Of all of jakes players, the only one Im interested in is Josh Allen from Jax. He's a win now guy, plus win down the Road, Scenario 2: Trading up in round 1 for Brock Bowers, a QB, a OT or a CB Only if he gets into the 10-15 range, otherwise its too much to give up. I love Bowers, but it usually takes TEs a couple of years toby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com

Robinson (its likely Latu, Turner and Verse are gone, leaving Chop) IOL: Barton Powers-Johnson QB: McCarthy IDL: Newton Robinson OT: Guyton WRs: Franklin Coleman Thomas Jr. If you are looking for a guy to start early, its the 2 IDL, anyone but Chop from the Edges, all 3 CBs and Jackby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotealyoshamucci So this is my trench warfare analysis. One on ones with the big boys are always a little tough to judge for me because it's about "controlled losing" usually ... also you see guys getting wide where you'd generally hit another lineman. Then there's the game ... and in this case the O line really could open holes in the running game mostly. Nonetheless, there was gooby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
I'll add a little of what I saw. Just because it'll be in one spot and Alyo is amazing at the Senior Bowl stuff. I could care less about the game, scouts and coaches don't even stick around for it. he played DE in mizzous 34, but they moved him inside as well. he's gonna be a 3 tech or 34 DE. I had him as a 3rd rounder roughly, but he dominated senior bowl, so I'm gonna rewatch the only mizzou game I have left on dvr.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
NFL Draft buzz is great to find a players college stats. And they go season by season. the draft network has great interviews and I feel they do a decent player eval. nfl.com because Daniel Jeremiah is the best, esp on evals lastly, pro football network is a solid all around site, they are not just draft, so there's some navigation involved.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Why is it McVay's problem to develop a QB? Because he is the HC? Are defensive orientated HCs also supposed to develop QBs? Typically, its the QB coach (I'm assuming thats why teams hire them) and the OCs job to develop the QB. Sure McVay is the playcaller, but his focus is the entire team, as where the OC and QBC are there specifically for the offense and the QB. Which leads me to my nextby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Arch was a OLB in college only as I recall. But at 212 lbs or so, he was moving to S. He also ran a 4.46 and repped 225 31 times at the combine. He was an athlete that made a position change. DeJean played outside CB, slot CB and some safety in college. Because he was good enough to be moved around. Will he run fast? Oh yeah. But he's a DB on Sundays. 1. Jackson Powers-Johnson taking snaps at OG was probably requested by a or some scouts in attendance. He's a OC, and a danged good one, but in year 1, he could start out at OG and slide to the middle after that. Injured though? So no Senior Bowl Game I'm assuming. 2. Darius Robinson is making some money this week. I'm gonna have to go back and look at him. Luckily I have 1 Mizzou game left onby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Doesn't look very athletic, but has a high motor. His best trait is how active his hands are. You know where Fiske is on the line after the snap because you see arms all over from him. I love that part of his game. My issue other than lacking athleticism is he stands up too often and loses leverage. And being as tall as he is, thats a real issue. I like him though.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Wilson needs a telescope to see mediocre from where he is standing. lol Wilson needs a chance of scenery for sure, and a spot where he can't be thrown to the wolves, but his instincts as a QB look terrible, and you can't fix instincts.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRam_Ruler DJ is one of the more respected scouts in the draft community. I see some intriguing things about his list: He's bullish on Rome Odunze. Edgerrin Cooper is ILB number 1 and very high on the list. He mentions Cooper Dejean as possibly more valuable as a safety. He's lower on Kool-Aid than many other people. He doesn't have Jerimiah Trotter Jr. in the top 50.—lots of good stuff. Herby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteoldschoolramfan Hey Deadpool, I love this stuff and really appreciate your time and effort when it comes to the draft. My biggest concern for the Rams is hoping they keep Wentz in horns, IMHO the Rams can go into the season with 2 QB's (Stafford/Wentz) and sleep really good at night. Then, at #19 they can go in a lot of different directions. If Wentz leaves....Do you think Bo Nix willby Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
6'-5" 315 lbs. Nasty as all get out. I haven't seen him as a OC, but apparently scouts love him as a OC. And he played 6 games as a freshman at OC and gave up no sacks...Rumor has it he will have sub 34" arms, moving him inside for certain.by Deadpool - RamsFootballFans.com
But yeah, typically only 1 center goes in the 1st round. Interestingly enough, Graham Barton, the OT from Duke has played every spot on the OL, and from what I have been hearing, he is alot of scouts top OC prospect. QuoteLeoram Dead, my question while you are checking measurements, what should be the prototype for Hoecht's role in the defense. Michigan's D is very legit. Studs on all 3 levels. By far the best D Penix has seen in the last 2 years. That said, I would be lying if I said it wasn't a bit concerning. But Washington lost their starting tailback early, and they were playing from behind all night. We all know Williams and Maye are gone. I also see no scenario where Daniels gets outside of pick 10, let alone pick 19. so that leaves Penix Jr., McCarthy and Nix. Penix, 24 years old, multiple ACL tears. That said, probably the most arm talent in the draft and absolutely the best deep ball. High character and leadership traits as well. Couple of my own draft preferences: First, Always take BPA according to your own board. Not Mel Kipers board or Daniel Jeremiah's board or the other 31 teams boards. Every team's board is different. THe only exception is QB. If you have one, and he's gonna be around for a while, ignore QB in round 1. that it was McVays playcalling or was it Stafford changing the play at the LoS? I have no clue, I do know Stafford put his fingers to his helmet multiple times and players motioned into a different formation.
