QuoteRAMbunctious I have no argument that the call on the play in question was ticky tack at best and probably should not have been called. HOWEVER... The play before that Henderson was totally mugged while trying to run his route and no flags were thrown. This is what I thought and saw as well. Relooking at a better All 22 view of the Henderson mugging.. I believe that Wilson penalby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Bengal fans seem to be highly susceptible to misinformation. That was not from the last drive, but from the 1st quarter I believe.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Look at All 22. 1st half and 2nd half completely different for Burrows. 1st Half, ball was coming out quick. Burrows hitting check downs. 2 things changed: 1) I think having success on the long ball to Chase and then the controversial one to Higgins opening the 2nd half made him greedy. He was holding the ball much longer in the second half. Had check downs available, but didn't throwby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Cincy struck gold with Burrows/Chase in the first round. They also have the lowest number of scouts in the NFL at 8 or so. Rams are above average with like 26 scouts or so. I think Baltimore leads the league with 30+ scouts Need those scouts to find late rounders. Many ways to build teams. If Cincy wants to give away 1st rounders, they'll need to up their scouting staff to support laby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
No way could he have gotten that ball. check about 58 seconds into Baldy's breakdown: Much better angle, shows how far away the slung ball was from the RB. Those saying that the RB gave up or needed to sell out.... you can now understand why vs making assumptions using the wrong camera angle.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
acCOUNTable refs.. had the non PI call as one of the worst calls ever in Playoffs. They had this at a 25% probability swing... highest bad call rating was non PI call NO vs Rams at 26% That non PI call dropped Rams probability of winning from around 75% to 50%. The PI call on Kupp swung probability by 20%. Both were "bad" calls/non calls, but the Non PI call impacted probabiby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams needed to be methodical, take the 5 yarders here and there. Previous drives... Bengals switched to Man all the way. Stafford was chucking the ball up on Go routes to Jefferson... you know that's not Jefferson's game. None of our backups are burners either. That was one difference in that last drive, the recognition of what the defense was giving him and McVay calling plays against manby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
That was all Stafford. He seemed to be like... I tried Jefferson, I tried Skowronek... it's you and me Cooper. Ride and Die together on this drive.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
can look at another way.... Maybe it can be rigged for the Rams. 1) Vegas Rigged- depends where the money is at. 2) Refs/NFL Rigged- Sort of like Pitt/Seattle This game reminds me more of Pitt/Seattle Pittsburgh- sentimental favorite. Wanted to see an old veteran like Jerome Bettis, return to his home city of DETROIT and win a Superbowl in DETROIT Seattle- up and coming team.. irby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
When you are at that status of his, you need to keep appearances of your status. Imagine Lebron James watching the Super Bowl up in the "rafters".. people would be ridiculing him.. asking why of someone of his stature be all the way up there. Someone like Eric teeters on having relevance to a mass audience. While Lebron can recover from rafter-gate because of his current status,by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Maybe Vegas has too much $ bets on the Rams. Can move the line, but maybe more hype for Bengals can swing without moving the line.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
seems right.. quick throws, draws... let the pass rush come to create lanes. make Rams tackle, that's how to beat the D. Then as the Rams bite on the quicks, take a shot deep. Gotta be disciplined, don't rush out of sync and tackle tackle tackleby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Both teams I believe will try to make the other team do high play drives. Make both QBs throw the underneath routes. Looking at games that Bengals have won/lost.... When you draw out their # of plays per score... Bengals tend to end up with a FG instead of a TD more often than not. In games Bengals have won and scored big, they almost always had a big gain on a play. Like 2-3 plays 75 yaby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com

Nice Post. A difference can be seen on a simple stick route. Let's say the play calls for you to run a stick 10 yards out. But you pre-read the defense and know they are zoning to exactly where you need to go. Most receivers will just run that route as is. Run right to the defender and turn around. Basically giving up. Cooper will try to get a defender off that mark instead by creaby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
lots of talk of Rams D line vs Bengals O line. Not alot of talk around the yeoman's work of Bengals D as a whole. They shut down Tennessee and held against KC especially in the second half. They seem to be adjusting well to the game.. getting torched by KC in the first half playing closer to the line... but then stopped KC in the second half when they dropped into coverage. On Offense,by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams used to get the plays in quicker.. enough for pre-snap motions to occur with audibles. Now it seems like they are getting the play in later... by the time the team is on the ball, there's 10 seconds left on the clock. Which then leads to snaps close to zero on the clock or burning of timeouts. Don't see alot of pre-snap motions/movement either now. Maybe unlike Goff, Stafford can reby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Niners going to punt. McVay foolishly challenges.. low risk/reward situation. McVay loses challenge. Shanahan brings offense in and plays head games with Rams. Thank you McVay for being dumb.by h2omelonhead - Game Time Forum
He's made stupid calls this game. 54 yard FG for a Kicker that kicked it way short last week. Gave up field position and niners scored. 3rd and 1, 4th and 1 calls... then wasted a challenge/timeout. That's desperation.. a coach that is frantic and not thinking straight. I bet most of the team was like, don't throw the challenge. Law of large numbers. These guys have tons of data.. many games, many seasons.. many data to trend off of. One correlation could be suspect, but they can build thousands of correlations and scenarios. Your single situation can be offset by 10 normal scenarios. The algorithms can adjust for that. Just watched the NFL replay. Crappy cut of it because they caught the action right after the snap of the ball. So couldn't see the defensive alignment at pre snap. They did rush 6 though and 2 got through. For sure I wouldn't do a Cover -0 in that situation. Blitz fine, but need at least a single high. Which is weird because usually when Bucs blitz, they are in cover 2. I was more thby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
