Just watched the NFL replay.
Crappy cut of it because they caught the action right after the snap of the ball. So couldn't see the defensive alignment at pre snap.
They did rush 6 though and 2 got through.
For sure I wouldn't do a Cover -0 in that situation. Blitz fine, but need at least a single high.
Which is weird because usually when Bucs blitz, they are in cover 2.
I was more thinking that they messed up because all game they didn't blitz. So if they were to blitz in that situation, they would send 5, not 6.
And even if they did send 5 or 6, their normal 2 deep safety would be the back end of it all.
So yes, either it was a defensive miscommunication or they really wanted Stafford to have a look he's never seen from them before
Most likely the former as coaches are more risk adverse in these situations.
