Denver's play calling was terrible. Not a good flow and series of play calling. Very vanilla offense. Then you go and get this QB and take the ball out of his hands to try a 65 yard FG. I guess they aren't letting Russ cook in Denver.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com

Probably have to point to general bias Common characteristic to McVay's tree of head coaches are: 1) Young 2) Never had HC job in NFL 3) Offensive side of the ball, whether OC, QB Coach, Oline ( I don't count Staley as part of McVay's tree) 4) White Male So a combo of: Offensive mind, with "Potential".. like drafting a high school player for the NBA. Was looking at Jerseys, looks like they are making room for next years Jerseys. Best deal seems to be Kohl's right now if you include cash back Vapor Elite: $268 then $50 Kohls cash Otherwise NFL shop is 30% off. Not bad... could be a good Father's day gift. Not alot of difference from the private sector. You hire an executive and negotiate on salary, bonuses etc.. That's your bad if you agree to pay that executive $1M in salary and not tie most of the earnings as pay for performance instead. Then most likely there is a termination clause that pays out the exec for early termination. The exec can loaf around and not perform... you can fire thby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah... I know NFL skills competition is not reality... but Wilson just blows other QBs in that competition. It isn't even close. His accuracy on deep balls is amazing. His problem is that he goes for the low percentage throws more often than taking the easy check down. Sort of like drive for show, putt for dough issue.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
our interior line did not have a great game. Also our TE/WRs didn't do a great job of blocking. Rams were down to their 3rd/4th string TEs and WRs so blocking and making adjustments were probably not their forte. When the Bengals held up the guards and the guards couldn't release... Allen was basically useless. Ended creating a 2 on 1 vs a DT leaving the LB free. Then the LB shot the gapby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com

wow, the blitz pick up at 1:05 and 1:20 really shows his football IQ. Most backs would have taken the outside guy at 1:05, but he scans the line and sees the late LB looping in and picks him up instead. That is high football IQ. 1:20 shows many things.. patience, awareness, and then his strong base to not even lose ground on a late blitzing LB. Riverside- you will see more Raider gear then Rams. When both Rams and Raiders were in LA, you would see more Raider gear, especially as you go East. Also, LA fans like winning teams. to be fair, they also tend to trade out of the 1st round. Their best 1st round pick in the past decade or so was probably Earl Thomas... that's probably more than 10 years ago. Since then, they've had 6 first round picks vs 6 years of no first round picks. So not really a team that hogs 1st rounders. They probably realize the "Value" of 1st rounders since they trade down so ofby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Tyrann is an enigma to me. This is one where the early flashy years is what people remember. But overall, he's all over the place. Some good years, some bad years. He's not great against the run. With his small size, he tries to make the flashy play against the run vs the sure tackle. So not surprising that his missed tackle rate is almost around Reeder rate. You can basically be like a piece of crap to humans (domestic violence, murder etc...) and the NFL won't care as much. But if you "steal" money from owners/NFL.... well that is going to be like capital punishment in NFL terms. Don't steal rich peoples' money.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Wagner based on the personnel and formation of the offense. Since the Defense won't know the formation to substitute in, go by the personnel.. so in this case, Wagner would fit better. If it's 11 personnel and Rams wanted 1 LB, then Jones. Especially if WRs are in a bunch on the wide side. Jones can get to the outside quicker, especially if it is a WR screen. This one had me laughing: This sucks because it means Bobby can give them insight on our players and schemes. And to have to go against a Seahawk legend twice a year McVay doesn't need much insight on Seahawks' players and schemes. Rams own the Seahawks. Plus Seahawks don't really have players anymore.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteCoy Bacon He'd be better than Reeder, but not a hell of a lot. I wouldn't go as far as saying that he's not a whole lot better than Reeder. 2021 Wagner, way better than 2021 Reeder. I think Reeder's missed tackle rate is twice that of Bobby Wagner with Wagner having way more tackles. And this is with Offenses game planning against Wagner whereas I highly doubt that Offenses are gameby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com

The tapes show to me that he's still good, but certainly has lost some. Rams need more secondary help imo, If a Wagner deal prevents Rams from getting secondary or line help, then I wouldn't do it. Run Defense: He's still good. Can still sniff out the play and he his tackling is still good. However, when he is fooled, he can't recover as well anymore. This is when you see the Seahawks givby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Watching some reels of him from last season. Looks less explosive (and he wasn't really an explosive guy). Can still shed blockers and read plays.. but feels like he's getting more help on tackles or giving up a few more yards per tackle (before, if Wagner hits you, your down). At least he would halve the missed tackle rate vs Reeder lol. The intelligence is the intangible that is worby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com

His handling of the uncalled facemask on Ramsey was nice to watch. If I was Ramsey, I know I have the support of the coach and would be inspired to get out and play hard again despite the non call. The way McVay said what he said, gave both the impression of support but also "move on to the next play".... Focus on what's next vs linger in the past. That is a key difference.
