He'd be better than Reeder, but not a hell of a lot.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that he's not a whole lot better than Reeder.
2021 Wagner, way better than 2021 Reeder. I think Reeder's missed tackle rate is twice that of Bobby Wagner with Wagner having way more tackles.

And this is with Offenses game planning against Wagner whereas I highly doubt that Offenses are game planning against Reeder.
In the tapes, you should see that offenses know where Wagner is.. Linemen and QB always calling his number. And you'll see that there is a concerted effort to get a lineman on him. Reeder, not so much. Yet, Wagner will still make the play more often than not than Reeder.

I'm not saying that Wagner is still a godly stud now. He's not. But by saying he's not that much better than Reeder implies that either:
1) Wagner has gone down to way below average levels
2) or Reeder has been elevated to average levels and Wagner is slightly above average

I don't think these 2 are true.

With the Rams defensive scheme, I'd rather invest in a safety in the box vs Wagner, especially at 11M for 1 year.

I think this is why the Rams have interest in Wagner.
