His handling of the uncalled facemask on Ramsey was nice to watch.
If I was Ramsey, I know I have the support of the coach and would be inspired to get out and play hard again despite the non call.
The way McVay said what he said, gave both the impression of support but also "move on to the next play".... Focus on what's next vs linger in the past.
That is a key difference.
The part that got me a little discouraged though was his reaction to Odell. His body language and his "oh no"... was deflating.
I was thinking, things are okay.. but then when I saw McVay, I was like.. crap, not good.
We are all human and so great to his compassion. At that point, I was worried if his demeanor would translate to the team.
Team was flat for the next few possessions, trying to adjust without Beckham. But picked it up back later. So kudos to him relighting the fire after a really low point in both the game and personnel.
