I stay put with the 3rd rounder, unless some team is willing to take Tavon to let McSnead move up a bit. Choose between best available edge, ILB, center or guard. Quotejemach why does any team in the NFL have red zone issues? Sounds like an easy fix. Yes, hmmm. Remember, I said the Rams. The Rams happened to be the top scoring team in the NFL last year. So they're not likely to have the same issues as most of the rest of the league, at least on that side of the ball. Few other teams have a runner of the caliber of Gurley, for instance. Far too many players are lost in meaningless games. It's absurd. No point to it. Eliminate the preseason, cut the regular season back to 14 games, no more Thursdays or Saturdays. Sunday and Monday only. At the same time, increase the available time for practice. Players should be able to report sooner in the offseason and practice more often. Won't happen, I know. To refine that a bit more: It's more difficult for the Rams to find their field-stretching receiver, who can also run sweeps, be an end-zone threat, and go over the middle if needbe. Sammy could do all of those things, and wasn't utilized nearly enough in the rent-a-year they had him. Thanks, Deadpool. That's a lot of work and well done. Always enjoy your draft stuff. My only quibble would be with your assessment of Moore from Maryland. It looks like you like him, but don't see him as "explosive." From watching him in games, and noting his Combine performance, I'd say he's got that aspect to his game too. Quotespagsbacker apparently the OT class next year is terrific and Rams will have no $ to sign the guys you listed. it looks like a much better year for the O-line in 2019. Names that jump out at ya include Matthews, Lewan and Martin. Of course, chances are their teams will re-sign them. But ya never know. The Rams could make a play for them, or some in the second wave. Quoteleafnose right? Patriots would select at the very end of the 4th round, so the value of that pick isn't quite as high as all that. I might be wrong, but I think that's what someone posted yesterday. So it's even later than the Pat's late 4th rounder. It's like an early 5th, if there aren't any comp picks in the draft. But it won't be easy. And, as always, they'll need willing partners -- preferably guys who don't play great chess. An example: If they had signed Suh for two years, instead of one, they could have traded him after this season for a pick or two. I don't like dirty players. I don't want them on my favorite team. It seriously dampens my ability to root for the Rams, and I've been doing that since 1966/67. It's a big deal for me. It's another to do so by parting with multiple 1st round picks AND handing out a mega-contract (double whammy) when you have one mega-deal pending (Donald) and another likely on the horizon (Goff). I know, I know. It's all moot. Watkins is gone and it may well be OBJ will soon be a Ram. If the latter happens, I'll root for him to do great things, but I wish it hadn't come to this. But it doesn't appear the Rams are interested in that. The Rams could lock up Hankins for three or four years, all in his prime, and pay him a lot less. That will make it a ton easier to re-sign Donald . . . and then Gurley and Goff as well. He fits the scheme better too. Well, 99% of the time I wouldn't. Not even for half of the draft picks. It would have to be an extraordinary situation for me to do that, and I'd have to check all kinds of boxes before I did. I think a LOT of what we talk about here is highly subjective. For instance, I haven't really bumped into too many people making the claim that Kupp has bad hands, or that Amendola is a much better receiver.
