You know, OL can be built up in various ways ... except for LOT. That one is hard.
It's harder when you realize that A. we will probably be drafting late and B. we are paying lots of money to numerous guys and will likely have trouble paying a good FA.
I wonder. Can you build a solid LOT by picking up a guy somewhere who is not already proven? You know, the proven ones are going to go for $$$$$.
Then there is this year. Do we have a Plan B for Whit going down? Saffold? Someone else?
Might be something off-off-camera that we can't see . . . but it doesn't look like they're ready for injuries. I don't see the proven depth. Of course, we still have the draft, UDFAs, and more FA possibilities. But without a First or Second Rounder, they're not likely to find a good LT. A guard or center? Yes. They could actually find a starter, and as much as I want them to grab an edge rusher or ILB, they probably need to go center/guard with their first pick. Sullivan and Whitworth are both graybeards, so they need to get some kids for the bench. Injuries can happen anywhere, etc.
Hope all is well, RFL --
