Far too many players are lost in meaningless games. It's absurd. No point to it.
Eliminate the preseason, cut the regular season back to 14 games, no more Thursdays or Saturdays. Sunday and Monday only. At the same time, increase the available time for practice. Players should be able to report sooner in the offseason and practice more often.
Won't happen, I know. The genie is out of the bottle, and they love the added revenues. But for the health of the players and the game, I wish they would scale things back.
MLB and NBA should do the same with their regular seasons, too.
