Quotedzrams QuoteRampage2K- Dude was pretty much a nonfactor today ..... That guy makes more then Suh and Joyner combined I saw quite a bit of impact from Donald. Obviously he didn't get a sack but got a couple of near sacks and other pressures that disrupted NO. Mostly in the 2nd half when the D was doing pretty well. AD and Fowler showed up. QuoteRamgator 30+ given up in SEVERAL games...Those D "leaders" better show up soon. No the defense has made plays. The problem is personnel and scheme, not players without leaders. Quotemax But I watch the games and don't see Joyner anywhere. I have a hard time believing that the Rams are happy with Joyner being invisible when they are getting beat deep so often. I get what you say about VB not being a very good source. That came out during the Donald negotiations when he could not find a way to stay neutral. It was actually never confirmed that he was out of condition. In fact that was just a board rumor that got shot down. At the time...the rumors were shot down in real time as they came up. Quotemax Joyner has been a huge disappointment this year. He’s invisible. He adds nothing to the run support, is never seen in coverage, and has no picks. For whatever reason, he stinks this year. He’s stealing money right now. The VB take is that they play him deep and are happy with him.by zn - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotedzrams The biggest thing that has been frustrating to me over the last few weeks is the inconsistency of the offense. They have sputtered and been hot and cold as you stated. The NO defense is strong against the run but they are not good against the pass. We need Goff to be on his game and lots of screen passes to Gurley. Quotejemach but...the holes were not there. The play calling was not there. So he didn't get hit behind the LOS more? Getting stuffed behind the LOS and getting hit behind the LOS are different. How many 1 and 2 yard gains did he have? Todd Gurley may not have been the Todd Gurley of 2017, but he sure wasn't what was being said on this board. I disagree. This is moderately useful as a real stat having to do with real football. That's not why I post it though. I post it because it's funny, if you look at it. Myself, well I agreed that he was the rare specimen, but I wasn't sure if a deal would get done. Without him, I really wonder how many of the Ram's wins would have been losses. Quotestlrams13 Just remember our standard (Donald) is so far above the norm it's unfair to judge anyone else compared to him. Quotemerlin But right now what he has done as OL coach is something that makes him a coveted piece of a staff. If a new offensive head coach offers him an "OC" position, which is what I am alluding to, I hope McVay says no. QuoteRam49 I have been watching him. He looks mostly disinterested. ....and I believe he has long had a reputation for that..... I don't think he's uninterested. Quotemerlin A smart offensive mind type would be wise to try to get him based on it being a promotion to OC. And if that happens McVay should probably say no, or otherwise elevate his responsibilities, but I suspect he would let him go. Stuff in both Chi and Buffalo. He;s also not known as a passing guy. QuoteSUretHing Wow. One study last year had him facing multiple blockers 83% of the time. Here's some more AD stats from this year: He's tied for 2nd on the all-time list of pass rushers in NFL history with 1.25 sacks per game on avg.
