The biggest thing that has been frustrating to me over the last few weeks is the inconsistency of the offense. They have sputtered and been hot and cold as you stated.
The NO defense is strong against the run but they are not good against the pass. We need Goff to be on his game and lots of screen passes to Gurley.
I suspect that what's behind Goff's (relatively mild) mini-slump is that starting with Denver, defenses are throwing new things at him. Certainly GB did that. So while he is talented and pretty advanced, he's still not a "crafty vet who has seen it all" type. He gets thrown off for a bit. But that too will change with experience.
