Quotestlramz Lying about his intentions and then trying to get Shad Kahn to pay to give up right of first refusal when Rams sold by Frontiere heirs Chip and Lucia. I figured if shad played along Stan would have bought Jags and moved them to LA. When looking at the Rams defense stopping the run looks like the most obvious area where there is uncertainty. Gone are Robinson & Gaines and their replacements are big question marks. Bobby Brown? Copland? Rookie Turner? Williams?. What you see is that the Rams are undersized except for Brown who so far has shown very little. With lots of youth projected on the edge you have to imagiby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Totally agree health is a big issue. Boom and Allen always seem to find a way to get hurt. Jackson seems like more of a one time event. This offensive line is Deep, Big, with lots of positional flexibility. We are in a good position to sustain a normal or amount of injuries and still be successful. This is probably our deepest position group and we have young guys that will only get betteby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Kupp, Jefferson and Atwell can all lineup at any of the WR positions and I expect that trio to be on the field bunch, especially the first 2 guys. Let's face it Atwell is really the only guy with the speed to really stretch the field. Jefferson and Kupp can get open deep but Atwell has the speed that can force the defenses to play deeper. If he isn't on the field we lose that aspecby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Jourdan is great first of all. 2nd since OTAs there Rams have been on vacation and there really hasn't been much to talk about other than speculation about a young roster which only goes so far. As camp develops we will get real information and gain a better understanding of things and there should be a lot to talk about. I never believe the rumors about trading Stafford unless you are officially going to tank the 2023 season. Stafford would be a huge cap hit if traded on a team with no cap space. Rams would have not cap money and only a 2nd rounder to find a Rookie QB who will be on a multi year learning curve It would have been a sell low type of trade because of the injury and poor season. Now itby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the Rams recognized that they lacked speed at the WR position and in general on offense. Last year was a cluster as Stafford's injury never let him get in sync with Robinson or any of the other WR except Kupp. This hurt Tutu also as he became a lower priority and Skow could bring some blocking. When Tutu got regular snaps at the end of the season he looked pretty good. He showed he caby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Tutu was a 2nd rounder and GM's miss on them all the time. OT Robinson was the 2nd pick in the entire draft and it looks like Tutu is at least an NFL player. Who's to say if they didn't pick Tutu that they would have picked Humphrey? 2nd round busts are about a 50/50 and Tutu could end up on the right side of the 50 if he has a good year. Perhaps there is some recency bias? Think bby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams have 4 TE and probably only 3 spots. All are NFL players. Do they try and trade Hopkins? Carry 4 TE's and hurt another position like WR or CB? Higbee and Hopkins are free agents after this year and if they are focused on winning this year Higbee will be a lock to be on the final roster. I am interested to see how this develops during training camp.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
On the surface I think I agree with this article but time will tell. I expect that there will be lots of surprises yet to come and hopefully some good ones. Like the emergence of an Edge guy or guys and perhaps Turner . Be interested to see how the WR room develops too. Overall very positive and even provides some hope for DB field.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
7th seems about right. He has gotten pretty good results but his defense results in a lot of fan frustration. This year the defense while young and inexperienced does have a lot of explosive speed. Vermeil would have done a much better job dealing with the idiots in the front office. Martz was just terrible when it came to working with them. Martz also really suck when evaluating college talent and he forced so really bad picks. I have mixed feeling about Morris. I hate the soft zone which is designed to make the offense earn it by taking the what the defense is give them with is underneath routes in the passing game. When watching the games it is like death from a thousand cuts. However, I think our personnel has something to do with that. After reading the article you realize how much they wanted this kid. The entire staff wanted this kid and the reason they waited until the 3rd round was because the were very sure he would last that long. When looking at the defensive line it would seem that size is rather lacking. Bobbie Brown is really the only size guy and so far he really hasn't done much. I am guessing that the defenby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
While last year was a disaster this year is very promising as far as the offense is concerned. There is no reason we will not return to being a high powered offense as long as we remain relatively healthy. The offensive line has size, experience and depth which hasn't been the case recently. QuoteRams43 After OTA’s and 2 mini-camp practices it’s looking like this: Jackson, Boom Avila, Anchrum Shelton, Allen Bruss, Anchrum Hav, McClendon, Arcuri Obviously, camp and scrimmages with Raiders and Broncos could shuffle that RG pecking order and maybe even LOT, but this is my best guess as of right now. Goff was a valuable asset and we mishandled him in my opinion. Regardless of the situation the QB is the most important player on the team and you need to do everything possible to make the QB successful. Quotemerlin OTAs don't mean a whole lot, though it's better to see him showing well than not. But a guy like Tutu should light up the defense in 7 on 7 and no pads. In some ways this will be the most interesting off season in a long time.
