I never believe the rumors about trading Stafford unless you are officially going to tank the 2023 season.
Stafford would be a huge cap hit if traded on a team with no cap space.
Rams would have not cap money and only a 2nd rounder to find a Rookie QB who will be on a multi year learning curve
It would have been a sell low type of trade because of the injury and poor season.
Now it may have been true that they had discussions but it makes zero sense to me and the logistics with the cap make is seem almost impossible and at a minimum would have reduced the compensation they received in return
