Pretty much the only difference is the Ravens had a top 10 defense that season, I think. And then perhaps the brief amount of time Warner got with the starters in training camp should be noted. But lots of basic similarities: rushing yards and passing yards almost identical... time of possession. it will be because McVay knows something about the Redskins that gives the Rams a significant advantage. I think it will be a lower scoring game UNLESS McGoff has figured out how to beat the blitz. I do think the Rams win but due to the familiarity of both teams, anything could happen. I do think Wade gives the Rams an advantage as well. Its tough for me to listen to because of the vocals and mistakes. But I know we'll never redo any of them especially since its been probably 30 years ago, lol I will have to try to find the others someday.by Atlantic Ram - Bucky's Pub
It is going to be a very physical game. Very unlike the Colts. I'm guessing lots of quick throws. If Kupp is the security blanket then he should get a good amount of catches. Looking forward to Watkins. Kind of thinking this will be a low scoring game but with the familiarity of the systems its hard to tell. 1) Having to throw on 3rd and long (obvious passing situations) -how will the line hold up? Can Goff complete passes and score points when things aren't scripted and play action is not available? • This is a concern. Last year the more teams blitzed Goff the worse the passing game was... and is a considerably better team by all appearances than he Colts. And it's not like the Rams offense was unstoppable... but it's good to have a great punter. I think they have a way to go. Perhaps he is thinking something like: Go where the play is designed and get the yard needed for the first down. I was a RB in highschool... not that it equates but the play is designed to go through a certain hole that is supposed to be there. If I bumped it outside (I don't know that I can see everything... could be a Safety I don't see and I get tackled for a loss...) then instead of a firsby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
So what're ya drinkin'? Just kidding. By the way, I misinterpreted your other post I responded to. Not sure why I thought you were talking about he coaching. They appear to have assembled a great group of coaches who have been successful in the league. And before the season I said I would be surprised if they didn't win 8 games and would not be surprised if they won more than 8. But for me, I have to see it play out a bit before I go further than trusting my gut. I loved the game against the Colts but who knows what it means as far as predicting future success for the Rams? And other than that we only have practices and pre-season to go on. For me its just isn't enough to base anything on. Kupp looks good but will that be the case 5 or 6 weeks from now. Or will Goff even be able to get the ball to him consistently? How will the OL play? So I answered an ad in the paper for "guitarist wanted". I had probably 20 songs written... not written down just I had 20 songs I made up and remembered, lol... Anyway, I met the guy, Bill, and we became friends and started recording immediately. He played the drums and bass and I played the guitar and did the vocals. We met once a week in his shed/studio lol, and we did a song a day.by Atlantic Ram - Bucky's Pub
Its not necessarily wrong. He doesn't mean it for many but he doesn't mean it for few either. I don't have time to get an example but its something like... "We have a handful of leaders like Brockers, Donald, Woods, Goff... I could go on and on" or "we have a handful of good coaches". But he doesn't mean he thinks they have 2 or 3 good coaches or 2 or 3 good players. He meby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I rarely get phone calls. And if it wasn't for telemarketers, etc. I wouldn't use it as a phone very much. Its basically a way for my wife to reach me... so for the most part not a fan. lol But having a kid, I love having a camera (and video) everywhere I go. But its a 6 plus... or whatever the big one is that came out 2 years ago lol. I am perfectly happy with it. I don't really need improvements. The fingerprint thing is a bit hit or miss so perhaps the face ID would be better if I can get over my insecurities about it. As for the cost of a phone... It does so much and I use it so often, that it justifies the price for me. That is like the priby Atlantic Ram - Bucky's Pub
I have never even been to California. It will be interesting to see what the attendance is for the next game. The coliseum is so large, its hard to believe that it would tough to get good tickets even if they do start winning. I know that if I go California it will be a one shot deal. So then the question is: Do I go to a game at the coliseum or the new stadium? Undecided.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

McVay uses the term "handful" in an odd way to me. I have heard him use the term the same way before. His use of the term seems to mean "several". For example, last week he was asked about the players being voted captains and he said there were a handful of players that could have been named captain and then went on to name several players. He does the same thing in this interby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

I'm just glad I don't have to hear "16 other teams lost too" crap. 16 other teams didn't lose by 28 to the worst team in the league jeff. smh I don't get the sinking feeling with McVay that I got with Boras. I couldn't shake the feeling that Boras didn't possess the ability to be an OC. Anyway, for me, its just way too early to celebrate. Glad they won. Played out how most fans imagined... maybe not 40+ points. The Colts are reeling. No QB, OL struggling and weak secondary. That said the offense laid about 30 points on them and the Rams controlled the game except for a few drives. And this is with Quinn, Austin, Barron etc. being limited. Although I thought Barron played more than I expected but I have to go back and look... But itsby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Donald knows they won't. He still gets the game check and all the fines absolved. And no training camp! Works out pretty well for Donald... for the Rams? um not so much. Jerk move by Donald IMO because it was announced all week that Donald could play if he just came back in time. But instead of coming back Wednesday he chose the day before the game so he didn't have to play but still get paid.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I've never done it but I thought there was the option to listen to the hometown teams broadcast live. I feel like I used it once when the Rams were locally televised but there was a 2 or 3 second delay on TV so I could hear the play unfold before seeing it. and are now waiting to see if they win. At this point, I would guess the only way we'll see Donald before game 8 or 9 is if HE himself takes the reigns and tells his agent to stop. He hired a notoriously difficult agent so he knew the deal going in. I'm guessing he was, and is, prepared to hold out a while. It sounds like he is going to be a headache in a few years anyway. That's really it. I don't care about the Super Bowl too much. I mean that's the main goal but improving is what I am most interested in. To watch the players improve. Although I wasn't a fan of hiring Fisher, I thought the team, especially the defense, showed improvement. But the overall improvement seemed to wane. Progress seemed to stall. I think his agents make him a little less attractive but I still think a few (maybe several) teams would be willing to pony up to sign him. Perhaps it depends on the GM's philosophy. For example, do you pay a non-QB what appears to be QB money? And we don't know how much we are talking either. It seems safe to assume that we are north of $20 million a year.
