I'm just really pumped to be where we're at yeah. This team has a real chance. :thumbsupby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
They got rid of the soul of their offense in Gurley. They got rid of the speed in their wideout corps in Cooks. They got rid of a Hall of Fame DC in Wade Phillips. They got rid of their long time kicker Greg Zuerlein. They lost some guys in FA like Fowler. And all their moves worked. Think about that one a minute. How is that possible. The only one they whiffed on was kicker but guessby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I was impressed by him playing with that thumb. And not only that but being the guy who survived that game with the win. The fact he got through it without further injury since it wouldn't take much to hurt that thing more. But in his actual performance yeah he just doesn't look like himself to me. And I don't have the energy to convince myself that the gutty nature of it excuses the overalby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Same to you man. :beercanby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Worst case scenario just call runs to Akers and let him do his thing. So I think the depth chart of 2 for an active game is fine. Given the Rams' roster at large.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Last game vs the Cards I think Wolford took at least 5 maybe more vicious hits to his head. After that I am sure the staff discussed sliding and I am sure he agreed. So that whole thing was on him. He made the decision on the field, the other player jacked him for it, end of story. Well actually the story is a tragedy for him too. Because that was a moment a backup QB waits his entire careby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Been saying all this week Seattle's secondary is poor. They were poor in that loss we had up there a couple weeks ago too but we didn't take advantage. The Rams have been just as poor in their passing game unfortunately. But I think the Rams take advantage in this game. I think they get a boost from Akers. I think they will get a boost from the backup QB too if necessary. I think they givby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm very sure of it at least. Seattle had a lot of issues in coverage last game but the Rams rarely took advantage. Queue it up on the all 22. The Seahawks secondary is not good and cannot cover the Rams for a full 60. It's a mismatch in our favor. Blythe got singled up a ton the last time too and the Rams squandered some great opportunities because of him being beaten over and over anby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLeoram When Wolford ran for first downs and completed some downfield throws, those that have longed for Goff's departure saw what they wanted. It's what I've said all along. If you're looking for greatness you will find it while excusing the flaws. If you're looking for flaws, you will ignore the positive because it doesn't fit your criteria. An objective evaluation would compare bothby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Getting healthy. OL might see a big uptick in productivity. Akers ready to roll and keep the Seahawks honest. A plan "B" at QB now if Goff can't go or if the bad Goff shows up for the game. Rookie starting to finally push for time at wideout and give us a third threat we have lacked. I am on cloud nine right now. Seriously. It might not be the type of run we wanted to see as aby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I realize McVay has his warts. But that stuff is all relative. Line up all the best coaches they all have quirks and down results. We're sitting on a guy right now who has done something maybe 5 or so head coaches could have pulled off, in winning 10 games in the NFC West after walking away from Gurley, Cooks, Wade Phillips, etc. Nobody expected anything from the Rams. For good reason. Thby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Some of these guys need seasoning IMO. Judge certainly does. Eagles wanting to look at their other depth QB and doing what they do is their business. As you said they should have handled it themselves. Bad look I agree. If I'm his GM his rear end would be in my office about that. And maybe he'd gain some perspective not to mention realize that the league is bigger than you and might wantby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
We lost to a crappy Falcons team who stood up for one game and advanced instead of us. Also tbh man the term "outcoached" is a BS term used to gloss over things you don't want to go deeper into. Do you realize that all these teams run the same plays? Even with different verbology it's all the same thing, it's described differently but the route combinations are laid together and arby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Enjoyed seeing all his plays together like that. The kid can ball no doubt about it. :thumbsupby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm with you on your list and think the Rams probably have an ordered concept that is similar. Some minor caveats here IMO: 1. I do think the OL is the most critical part of all of it for one reason: it can fix the run and pass game. OL chemistry is one of the biggest factors in the rise and fall of team fortunes in the NFL. Nobody is a genius without an OL. The Rams need help at Center nby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Leading the league in points against is some rarefied air. Congrats to the unit and coaches but there's no time to mess around it's that explosive Seattle offense right out the gate. But the good thing here... Points against is a strong indicator for deep playoff potency. :thumbsupby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
As you noted he's too timid. He's a careful guy and that will hold back his production a little but it will also keep him healthy or gives him a better chance to avoid injuries. IMO the guy they should be putting out there right now, starting over Everett (who is another guy who can't adjust to the ball in the air btw) in order to give our QB a threat across the middle, is our rookie TE Hopkiby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Starting your career in a must-win game on the 5 yard line then throwing a TD pass to the defense... I mean you can't start a game any worse than that. But you could just see him building himself back and settling in. And he did. The guy shocked the receiving weapons too btw. Everett didn't know what the heck was going on he's not used to QBs taking chances on him especially when he's coveby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
The backup QB is fresh and Zona won't be living in our offensive backfield. I think Wolford will have a good game. He's a smart type guy who will know the offense cold and just has to run it.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
He is one bad <bleep>. :thumbsupby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
1. Trade for Minshew. He'd be our new backup assuming he loses the QB competition that would occur in camp. But there would be a competition for sure. His cost is the trade primarily, as he comes with a reasonable cap hit. 2. Draft a developmental QB. Wherever you see one on the board you like, if you do, take him. Not a big need but again I feel like with this offensive staff in place weby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
That it's over. It's not over just yet. Fat lady is warming up but let's see what these guys have here at the end before we write the season's epitaph.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
We don't need top performance from our QB on Sunday to get in the playoffs. What we need is a good team game with a QB who is safe with the ball and a balanced run attack with strong defensive effort. All those things are well within reasonable expectations too, for me at least. I also think Wolford will look deep a bit more than Goff was. He's fresh and unmolested by defenses this year soby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams have a ton of backs who have all failed to seize that starting job. Akers got hurt twice and the most recent was pretty bad given how he'd played the prior two games, where we lost that shot in the arm. Hendy has failed two years in a row to seize the job. Brown has as well and is limited and not as good a fit as the others. If they trot Brown out there for 30 carries I'm going to be aby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Getting Kiser back in time for this game vs the Cards is good. Not sure if they play him but I think they will simply because he is better in space than the other options. This is a boost for the defense, not a huge one but we're a better defense when he's starting IMO.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams are going to need to throw everything they have into winning this game. They aren't so good any more that they can cruise by a lesser team. And they know if they get in they might actually see a boost from the health side and be in a really good spot. If Akers is a go he's gonna get carries. They should take a long look at Jones too IMO it would be wise to know if you're sitting on somby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
His negatives which are his size and arm historically aren't the worst traits for a WCO. The scheme in fact can work with those two things and counter them. I do think he's a pretty fast processor and McVay mentioned he sees the field well so who knows maybe he can run this offense. He's just got to be safe with the ball. IMO the biggest element in this game won't be Wolford... It will bby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Namely a backup who is a real option to come in if Goff's struggling. We lack that this year. There's gonna be QBs coming in through the draft and lots of movement at the position. Have to think that happens this offseason.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Losing Akers just as they finally got him rolling was a huge hit to this offense. And Seattle's a great offense so that's a bad combination. Today we needed Hendy and Brown to take care of business and the results were mixed. As always with them. Looked suspiciously like 2019 didn't it. At this point they really need to take a hard look at Jones IMO. They made it a point to keep a 4th Rby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
