Season defining game Thursday. If we stick to the simplistic running game we used v the Cards, we will lose. Seriouslyby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
This was week 1 of my Fantasy Football playoffs. With my two top RB's out (McCaffrey and Conner), I started Goff over Watson. Jared is always good for a bounce back (especially against the Cards). * With that said, there's no way I'm starting Goff over Watson next week. As I've been preaching, this offense relies on the running game and Goff is a better than average QB with several good peby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotemerlin The counter is interior runs, which the Rams have done and done well. That defensive look (wide) takes defenders from the middle so that's where it's weak. The Rams have run duo, some trap, and the outside zone. They also struggle when their players get beat, which isn't too often as they have a better than average OL. Last season the struggles on the interior are what kept McVaby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
Fix the running game. Fix the running game. Fix the running game. Fix the running game. It's fools gold to put too much on Goff. He's never going to be Dan Marino to Duper and Clayton. He's not Warren Moon with the Run and Shoot. FIX THE FRIGGIN RUNNING GAME!!!!by Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
...you can tell how much the loss depressed him. He struggled to voice his usual mantra of bouncing back, staying connected, and moving on the the Cards game. It's significant to me because as fans, our frustration permeates us. Our need to point fingers divides us. But we should recognize that the loss probably doesn't affect us nearly as much as it does him. This is the third time this yearby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
Foolio is the worst. With that said, his point is valid.by Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
Um, both Corbett and Boom were ineffective and I remember Hav getting beaten badly as well. Save one play, there was no run game whatsoever. This offense is predicated on consistency and there was none. Goff made some terrible decisions. The refs were atrocious. But what is to be learned from this? I'm happy to see that the simplistic run scheme so well known by Shanny is getting some spotlby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemoklerman QuoteMalibuRam Maybe SF is just a tough matchup for the Rams. The Rams defense let a 3rd string QB led his offense to 2 consecutive FG's (49 and 51 yards). The Rams were ahead 20-17 in the 4th quarter. Where is the outrage?I don't think the defense earned outrage from the fans. Many defenses struggle to stop FG drives when an offense has plenty of time. Especially long FG'by Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
Quote3030 This offense is wed to the play action pass. As many pointed out in the GTF, the 49ers were playing 8 man fronts. Stop the run and the play action becomes pointless. Then if we don't run, proceed to the QB and rattle Goff. Hence, Rams have to keep their TE's home, eliminating that passing option. The screen plays we love so much aren't much use when there are so many defenders cloby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams have been one of the most efficient run game offenses in the league until it disappeared starting with the Bucs. Yes, brethren, I hear you about Goff and he was terrible against the 9'ers. But my contention is that Goff is merely a complement to the running game and we all agree that making him the focal point of the offense is an insane option. The 9'ers offensive holding, blocks in the back, and their blatant PI's were sooooo plentiful that it was an even bigger factor than Goff. If this game were officiated correctly, the Rams would've blown them out. Something really has to be done about it. Seriously, I've been watching for decades and have never seen a two game stretch close to this. Let's use this thread to count them. I'm tby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn QuoteRams43 Some will blame Goff for this loss. I say that there is plenty of blame to go around if we’re being honest. I’m too bummed right now to even begin to point fingers. We wuz out played and out coached for 3 quarters. FOUR turnovers didn’t help, obviously. I also must admit that Shanny seems to own McVay. 4 consecutive wins is pretty darned convincing. Quotezn QuoteRamgator I think Goff is who Goff is. Seems like he is all or nothing. How he starts is usually the tone for the rest or most of the game. I sometimes wish McVay would let GOFF call plays, sorta like Manning did. See if that would up his comfort zone. But... I think McVay whispering in his ear till the play clock is fading from 1 to zero is also what the O is and will be. Blueby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
I personally don't care about the status of our opponents. There isn't a team remaining in the regular season that can win if the Rams simply play anywhere near their potential. I'm looking for focus, intensity, and health. I loved the way the defense tackled last week. The OLine looked cohesive and capable. The running game better return, but against the Bucs, I will give it a pass (NPI). Losby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
I concur. From a league perspective, I'd say the Rams are in a similar position as the Steelers which is enviable. Pittsburgh hired a successful young coach they will ride for a couple decades as can the Rams. With that said, while the Pats, Chiefs, and Seahawks have some time left with their leaders, teams like the Rams, 9'ers, Cards, Bills, and Dolphins could be looking at Tomlin-like staby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
Didn't we give the 2021 1st rounder to Jacksonville? Given our needs at interior linebacker and the many vagaries of roster changes over a two year period, I'm afraid we have a long wait til our dream of pairing AD with another 1st round disruptor.by Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
SunTzu and Max, you both seem in lock step about this and while I REALLY want you to be right, I'm going to offer what I both fear and believe will happen. Let's consider the overall approach by Snead in his tenure. Name one single DB he didn't consider replaceable when he hit the top of his market value (with the exception of Ramsey). I think you and I miss the Bones aggression more than McVay did. I believe he's the type who feels the misses more than he enjoys the hits. I could be wrong but since Bones is no longer here, well, that's the evidence of my theory. With that said, I agree that McVay will replace coach B. with a more innovative mind. I'm just not convinced that coach will be young though recent history suggests yoby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com

I have always believed that if someone trusts you, no explanation is necessary. If someone doesn't trust you, no explanation is possible. It's a matter of what you're looking for. It's called bias. Sorry, while I appreciate the enthusiasm and agree he has a better build to match big WR's, he isn't even close when it comes to coverage ability and ball skills. Sanders was beyond elite. What I will say is that Ramsey is a far superior tackler which is why he may be as valuable to this defense because he can affect the game in multiple ways.
