I think the first few I was in awe with just because it was how I envisioned Spiderman swinging from building to building, etc. It was just awesome. The actor... meh... kind of ruined that part of the movie but the CGI was so awesome it didn't matter. By the time 3 rolled around it was laughable. I have never made it though it.
Then the next Spiderman series came out. I liked the actor a little better but the movies were worse. I didn't like Raimi's (sp?) directing in the first 3 movies either so... the next ones were forgettable... as in I don't know if there were 3 movies. Then they have the current Spiderman. I like Holland OK but the rest of the supporting cast... They just don't fit. They just aren't the characters. Period. Their names might be similar but they don't have anything in common with the comic book characters...
The there was the Spider-verse movie. This must have been something after I stopped following the comics. I thought the movie was really done well but I didn't like it as much as most people.
So I have very low expectations for this movie. More of the same I am thinking. I didn't really like the last one... sigh... But it should be "spectacular" to see at the theater and that is the reason I am going to see it.
