I'm sure that, in addition to stats, professional coaching staffs consider several other items when determining who to play...and how to play them. Off the top of my head, those items might include:

- physical/mental attributes
- overall experience
- scheme familiarity
- tale of the tape (college, mini-camp, training camp, pre-season, in-week practice, and actual game)
- intangibles

Personally-speaking, I know that I'm only privvy to a PORTION of one of these items: live pre-season and actual games (I rarely re-watch games or focus on any particular player because I have NO IDEA what I'd be looking for).

So yeah. Though stats tell A story...they rarely tell the WHOLE story.

For that, you need to take all of these (and likely other) factors into account - of which only the coaches have unlimited access to.

You make valid points about things -- and also admit that you (on no one is) are privvy to these things and that you, like me (very much me) do not
have the skills and experience to match with NFL coaches.

But your view is counter to the Morris is crap scenario - and why I made the car comparison.

They like playoff Morris and have said so. But they hate regular-season Morris. They think
he had some epiphany in playoffs and not all that he supposedly learned as escaped him.

Such a thing is not possible.

That is why this is a trap. They don't want a discussion. They want others to trust "their eyes"
and ignore things that to not agree with the crap on Morris agenda.
