Not that I'm trying to defend the pick but it seems like the plan from day 1 was for Atwell to redshirt his rookie year and then be in position to contribute in year 2 .... despite the fact that he was a 2nd round pick. (He was slated to shadow DJax last year and take over for him this year. We all know how that worked out: all I'm saying is that was the plan when he was picked.)
