It looks like the Rams have a three-year window to win another SB

February 17, 2022 09:08PM
To my eyes it looks like between the money coming in and the bonus that would need to be paid back, AD has 75 million in the balance over the next three seasons. Combine that contract reality with the work ethic AD's dad instilled in him by getting him up every morning at 4:30 AM to lift weights in the basement starting at the age of 12, along with AD's age (being 31, 32 and 33) and it just seems like AD is Ram for 3 more seasons.

Jalen Ramsey is under contract for four more seasons and will be is 28, 29, and 30 over the next three seasons.

Leonard Floyd is under contract for three more seasons and will be is 30, 31, and 32 over the next three seasons.

Is Von Miller really going to face as many single blocking schemes, and have a chance for another playoff run with the Broncos?

Kupp is 29, 30, and 31 over the next three seasons. Kupp is under contract for two more years. Seeing his personality, I have a hard time seeing him leaving via FA for another team and in the worst-case scenario he could be tagged 2 years from now for a 3rd season.

Robert Woods is under contract for the next four years and will be 30, 31, and 32 over the next three seasons.

Mathew Stafford will sign a deal this offseason. Stafford will be 34, 35, and 36 over the next three seasons. (In reality did the Rams give up multiple number one picks for Stafford? One of those first round picks given to Detroit is the 32nd overall which is essentially the same as the Lions second round pick at 34th overall.)

It looks like Noteboom is groomed and ready to be the LT and will be signed for at least a 3-year deal. A. Jackson looks like a capable back up at LT for the next three seasons. Aside from the run game in the SB Kevin Carberry did a hell of a job.

Tyler Higbee is under contract for two more seasons and will be is 29, and 30 over the next two seasons.

McVay brought up the importance of fatherhood which is nice to see. McVay seems obsessed with the NFL. Three years from now McVay may have a two-year-old. Maybe that is a nice time to take Brian Griese's job as a MNF broadcaster and be home during the day with a toddler.

I would imagine Snead and McVay get very lucrative new deals from Silent Stan.

Morris may get an NFL HC gig after next season and bring McVay (via Snead et al.'s drafting) two more young players. Victor Fangio will be looking for an NFL DC gig on a SB contender at that same time.

It looks like OBJ will be back for at least one more playoff run.

It looks like there are two very good options in Greg Olson and Liam Coen to replace Kevin O’Connell. Hopefully both of them end up on the Rams offensive coaching staff. Who wouldn't want to be on McVay's offensive coaching staff? It's more than a fast track it's the fastest track to career advancement.

The core and key positions look fairly secure. It looks like the Rams have three more seasons to try and get one more Lombardi Trophy with this group.

Let's savor SB 56, the 2021 season and enjoy the ride coming up.
