Rambro I agree with all of your points and that is why I thought firing would have been too drastic. I was very disappointed that we weren't at the defense level prior but adjustments take time.
When a company brings in a new manager it often takes easily a year for him and his dept. to get in sync. I told my new employees that it would take them two years to learn the system and become reliable and productive.
I see two components of this argument: #1) People were wrong about calling for his firing, #2) the extent of defensive changes Morris made. Only Morris, or perhaps also McVay can answer #2.
My worry now is that he's going to be poached by some (bad word here) NFL team that needs a new HC.
