My observations match 43's. Lot's of people were disappointed with Morris' defense early on. But he changed something, or something changed, and his defense became a Ram's mainstay.
I don't see any spin here at all.
Fair enough.
But headed into the season, we knew kinda knew four things:
A) Morris had been asked to run a defense that he wasn't familiar with;
B ) The players were going to need to get comfortable working with a coordinator who hadn't taught that particular defense before
C) The unit was going to be without some good players who had moved on to other teams; and,
D) We had an offense that many expected would be able to carry us to the playoffs.
Question: Given the above factors (especially D), is there a reason why you didn't afford Morris/players any time work out any kinks
that you knew had to be experienced?Or was it supposed to be perfect from jump and sustained throughout?
