Who says that a drunk and angry 9ers fan didn't throw the first punch? My experience is that it is not the home team fans that start crap, but the angry fans of the losing team.
Who says it was even a Rams fan that beat the guy? I've seen groups of fans of the same team go at it after a loss.
Who says it is even related to the game? Most likely sure, but people cut in front of lines, make rude remarks, etc.
Lots of assumptions being made.
