Many people didn't factor the OL into the discussions of Bulger in 2007 either. There were people theorizing that since he had signed a big contract in the off-season, he just didn't care anymore. Some of us pointed out that 2007 represented the worst and biggest list of OL injuries that we could think of in Rams history and that OL issues of that magnitude have an effect on the qb. Even then we heard the "great qbs rise about that" myth, though when pressed for examples, then as now, no one could name one.
The Rams OL was a mess in 2019 and it directly impacted the qb.
2020? Bad games mixed with good but then some see only half of that.
And again in case anyone thinks I am criticizing the regime for trading him (criticizing the regime!
what's next, dogs and cats living together?)...well no I like Stafford and think he will be a good Rams qb, if not the best one we have seen.But hyperbole is hyperbole. Same with Bulger.
