I'm not sure your two examples on sidelined coaches fit. From what I understand, Billick doesn't want to coach. He has a cushy broadcasting job. Phillips did indicate interest in coaching again and he may yet get hired again. People have been saying he's too old and might not get another job for a decade now. Three to four years from now, Phillips would be a good exhibit for your argument if he hasn't been hired again despite putting his resume out there.
OTOH, there is Fisher. Whether the league has interest in hiring him is relevant. So far there hasn't been one whisper of anyone with interest in bringing him in. But a possibly more interesting question is, would you have kept him after the 2016 season if you were Kroenke?
As for your argument about the conditions he played with, you haven't contended with 43's argument that the head coach is largely responsible for the type of players he has on the team. Fisher had final say in personnel decisions and he was in charge of player development. It's tough to see how he can be absolved because he had bad OLs when he's the main guy who should have been doing something about that.
The examples game works here too. Can you think of examples where a head coach kept his job after 5 years of a .408 or less winning percentage record? Unless you can produce such a list, I just don't see you as having an argument that Fisher isn't deserving of the slams he receives.
