I saw the same games you saw and I saw him in many games not move out of paths of a rush, not feel the pressures from angles, get hit and lose the ball. I saw him hold balls too long, screaming at the TV "throw it away, throw it away" just to see him take a sack.

IMO those things can lower the way a line looks, IMO Matt has a sense of pressure, Goff did not. IMO if the line stays true to last year his [play will help elevate their play. His understanding of a defense will also help the line play by being able to adjust to defensive calls. I also think that Goff was deficient in reading a defense quickly enough, if even at times at all.

Of course he needs to have a line play solid, never said otherwise. If the line plays up to or very near last season the offense improves, if the offense improves that includes the o-line. I do not look at the lions offense vs. the RAMS offense. I am looking at the QB's only....IMO Matt has it all over Jared. I saw Jared in 2017 and 18 and he was showing out to be a up and comer, but IMO he has run his course...I just don't see him improving from what he was when he WAS improving, IMO he has hit his ceiling. Maybe a new place will help him refresh his batteries, but at the same time right now his assistance around him is not to the RAMS level. Let's see him help out his line in Detroit......I say Matt will in LA.

Your references to last year in Detroit are meaningless to me......I am looking at the virtues of both QB's standing alone and I see Matt as a much more polished, knowledgeable player. IMO those assets help improve an offenses play, and that has to include the line.
