Though "delusional" is way too strong a word.
They have, however, consistently overestimated what they have and/or underestimated the problems.
Not to any shocking degree. Their worst OL year, 2019, was nowhere near as bad as legendary bad OL years like 2007.
But it would not be any stretch to say they are underestimating the issues moving forward.
It may just be that McVay is willing to settle with the OL because he is overly hungry about getting skill players. That might actually be an achilles heel of this regime. I think it's not wise to downplay that possibility, but it is also not good analysis to just over-react to and over-inflate that possibility.
