With Talib, Peters, Watkins, Matthews, Fowler, etc.- what they gave to acquire them, their performance as Rams and then what they received when they left are all fine in my opinion. With Cooks the total value is TBD because the 23rd pick they gave New England for him equates to two years of Cooks plus 4 years of Jefferson (drafted with the 57th pick they received when they traded Cooks to HOU). So we have to see how Jefferson develops.
As you point out (and I said the same separately above), the egregious errors are extending Gurley and then Goff both a year sooner than was ever needed. Their view/value of both would have been quite different 12 months later.
