I dont have any ill feeling toward goff but youre clearly right here. I still wonder tho at what moment that happened for mcvay. Mcvay certainly changed his too on goff towards the end of the season. Or did it just build up over time.
When McVay criticized Goff in public for the first time, after Miami game, McVay was very frustrated. Snead said in his last presser that McVay always has his players backs but he has high standards. So clearly McVay was telling us Goff was not up to his standards after Miami game. Goff was probably done then, but it could have been earlier. By the time McVay made the Wolford move, he had definitely decided Goff was out of LA.
My guess is McVay was studying Staffords game for many weeks. And when Holmes went to Detroit, the wheels were in motion. That explains the McVay and Snead word patterns. I said right after Snead presser, Goff was 99% gone, it’s posted here. That was confirmation of a trade in the works.
I find it interesting how many reporters didn’t see it. I had to explain it to Jourdan, and she DMed me that she changed her viewpoint a couple of days ago. But there were some guys as recently as yesterday morning saying McVay would make up with Goff. Bunch of dolts.
