"McVay’s decision to speak critically in public about Goff for the first time wasn’t just a sign of things to come, but also seemed to serve a
s a message to his locker room, where some frustration rippled during the latter half of the season — the message being that an underperforming player would not be coddled, regardless of that player’s status."
I asked her what she meant by this "frustration" and what it was based upon.
Does it not seem odd that the locker room was pretty muted in its support of Goff. Sure there were some comments that the players were fired up to see Goff take the field with his thumb after Wolford went down but I wonder if this is McVay sensing frustration within his team about Goff's play. I mean his comments and behavior don't make a lot of sense for someone who is so calculating but frustration within the locker room could shed some light on this.
If Rodrigue answers my question about what she was referring to in the above quote, I will post it.
