Laid back yes, but also awesome in a practice setting. He's never lost a competition in a practice setting because he is such a great thrower and there is no threat of being tackled.

He won against 5 star HS QBs that were far more mobile at Cal as a 165lbs true freshman because he is just that great in drills.

McVay knows what he has now from 4 years of history together. I think he will try to find out if he can get more of what he wants somewhere else. No easy task.
