You are in complete denial if you can claim McVay has done nothing wax poetic about Goff from 2017 till even the first half of this season. Enough is enough.
It might be a generational thing.
You are stating that Goff is being thrown under the bus. Give us a break!!!!!
Or, am I not taking your granular, super specific meaning the exact right way??? We’re just not seeing the same meaning of the same sentential semantics is the reply I’ll be anticipating. But you’ve said McVay has thrown Goff under the bus in more than one thread.
Do you at least see that those of us old timers laugh to ourselves at such a suggestion?
I think you’re mistaking Sean McVay for John McKay. Now there’s a coach who could throw a team under a bus. Reporter: “Coach. What do you think about your team’s execution?”
McKay: “I’m in favor of it.”
And I’ll bet those Tampa Bay Buccaneers got a great laugh out it and didn’t curl up into fetal position.
I have been rooting on and keeping a sober, optimism about Goff. He’s got great talent.
So, as of the last month, you are correct. I don’t like Goff but it wasn’t always that way. I see a guy who lacks the spirit of one who charges in front of his troops into battle. Sure, he can get up once he’s shot off of his horse, but it’s what he doesn’t do when he regains his mount. That’s a temperament thing. It’s something you’re born with and I was hoping with all the picking himself off the turf moments, at some point, he’d get in some defender or even one of his linemen’s faces. That’s just not there. I’ve been hoping and waiting. It’s not there.
Now to your axe to be ground: How long have you disliked McVay? Try as you may to claim that “Oh, no, I like McVay”, you have too many posts where you’re calling him out in whatever pejoratives you use to color him as you do.
Can you say anything positive about him? Yes? Then what would that color look like?
