them playing football.
well played sir. and that is the top of my list too. but, i'm a little unsettled as to what that will look like - empty stadiums - nuetral grounds. will it come off like arena football?
aside from that ~
since staley supposedly is concentrating on stopping the run, let's see them do that. idk if floyd and robinson are the guys to bolster that soft spot but i am encouraged by the fact that staley is familiar with the 2 of them. i still like n patrick's chances of being somebody in the lb rotations, inside or out. especially with a stop the run emphasis.
i'd like to see them be able to run the ball well. be it better blocking, picking a horse and riding him or a tandem with a strategy on how and when to swap them out. a combination of any of the above. no more gurley, oline injury or rookie excuses. they've spent a rich amount of draft capital on the rb position the last 2 drafts...
in a vacuum, i think the passing game is fine aside from oline questions which i actually think are mild. i like the set of te's with hopkins & mundt behind the starters. i look forward to what they should do. i think reynolds will be able to push/challenge jefferson enough to make him truly earn a starting role, and maybe not until during the season. between winston and jackson, i think there's a wealth of depth available along with webster to complement woods and kupp at wr.
if the running game does blossom in whatever way, the oline should be able to help the passing game reach new levels. yes, there's no true replacement on the roster to gurley in his prime but goff is older and wiser now. it's scary how the really good qb's mature especially with some duress in their nfl history. i think goff will be one of those qb's.
love the defensive secondary and the dline. i think cb d williams can be a star in the league. those 2 units should complement each other very well. the question in my mind is still the lb corp.
