Turnovers are a killer during the regular season, but imo they are even worse in the playoffs because teams are much more evenly matched.
Unless you have a Tom Brady or Aaron Rogers you are better off if you have the ability to pound the rock on the ground. You can control the clock and limit turnovers.

Just witness what happened to San Diego and Rivers. Tossing the ball too much can be deadly.
Plus, when you can run the ball down the throat of your opponent, you can break their will.

It makes no sense for the Rams to revert to a team that passes 35-40 times. They WILL be able to run against New Orleans. Sure, Goff will have to pass to keep things honest.

If the Rams can bottle up Elliott behind that Oline, and run against a physical, young, stud D like Dallas, they should be able to do the same to New Orleans especially when their best run defender is out.

I think it reflects what McVay wants for the playoffs - no turnovers.

It's playoff football: that means no turnovers, solid D, and running the ball
