Steve Beurelein said yesterday that although Goff played well, and was well prepared, he wasn’t asked to do too much. He thought McVay lost some trust in Goff. But Goff is comfortable in his current role. He clearly played game manager against Dallas. Complement the running game and no turnovers. Will that be good enough in NO?It got us to New Orleans...
but it won't get us to the bowl. Goff looks like a different player....decision making, ball placement (25% of the time, maybe)...just mediocre....great O line, and great patterns, little result.
YPA= #1 stat in all of football (not counting the score). It predicts super bowl teams going back to the 1970s.
Goff needs to be at 8.0 YPA or more for the Rams to have a chance.Dak Prescott is the king of 6.5 to 7.2 per attempt, that is why no opponents worries about him as a pocket guy---play to play--just not consistent....well, GOff doesn't look sooo much better these last 5 games.
