they have changed what they are doing and I imagine that they will be doing the same things on Sunday v the Saints

they aren't throwing nearly the volume or types of passes that they were... think about that game how many different types of passes did Goff actually throw and complete? My guess was maybe 3 or 4

play fake to back rollout to hit TE
Screen pass
Dig route off PA in back of LBs in front of DBs
What did I miss

Teams are really working to take away the deep stuff and the Rams seems to be now saying ok fine... we can be patient and beat you other ways

I think Goff's skill set is better suited to more wide open offense but he can play the game manager role as well

Will it be enough against the Saints... that depends. If the Rams are running the ball like that I think he should be fine. When we get close he needs to get us some TDs.

The Dallas game should have been blowout... if hes slightly sharper/more efficient the Rams can put up 30+ easily on the Saints playing this style IMO

What Speed just said.

When the Rams have a running game like CJ has brought them, and now is 2 headed with Gurley’s return, it would seem foolish to force deep throws until the opposing D cheats up to stop the run.

The objective is to win the game. If the run is there, take it. Keeps Brees on the sideline. That Cowboy game coulda been a Ram route but for 2-3 plays that went the Cowboys way. I expect the Saints run D will be tested early and often. If it can’t stop the Ram run, we’re gonna see a Ground Chuck O all afternoon. And that’s just fine by me.

I think it reflects what McVay wants for the playoffs - no turnovers.

  Change of strategy perhaps

It's playoff football: that means no turnovers, solid D, and running the ball
