Your recurring theme: "Can you name me any qbs who were under THAT MUCH pressure and did not get rattled to a certain extent?" Probably not... because no such thing exists.... and it's also subjective to the extreme.... but no matter because it's utterly nonsensical, IMHO... because I can name hundreds who, EVEN THOUGH "TO SOME EXTENT" got rattled, (as you call it, I would not use that term)... fought through it and succeeded. Fact is - I can't think of any "great" QB who did NOT... and most non-great but good ones as well. Hell, even a few lousy QB's.
One of the reasons I am so behind my grandson's love of the Chargers this year is because Rivers has been doing that "consistently" for nearly his entire career. Again... we can debate that... but it's subjective.
Yeah I have seen Goff get rattled, shake it off, and come through.
And he actually has a pretty high comeback win percentage.
The point of "that much pressure" is that it's A LOT. The Bears got pressure on 52% of the Rams throws. Any idea how ridiculously high that is?
So no it's not subjective, you can see it and factor it in, and no it is just plain not common for qbs under that much pressure to thrive. Wilson is generally good under pressure and we saw him rattled in 2 of the last 3 Rams games. Brady was clearly off his game in the 2007 superbowl. It goes on. Etc etc It's a visible thing.
To me it's not a full or complete or realistic analysis if we don't factor things in like OL collapse or subpar OL play because of injuries, where protection has become an issue.
And yeah my entire career watching football I have rarely seen a qb rise above it. Not when it's relentless and the protection is clearly subpar like that. Not when it's at that level.
