Of course AD is motivated by greed. So am I. I need a paycheck, so do you. If in my position, I could tell my boss, "pay me another 100k or I walk" and was confident I could get it, I probably would. I only get up in the morning, drive to work, put up with the work, just to get a paycheck. So do you.

Please note that I made very few posts in this soap opera topic of AD and his contract. I just happen to believe that most of us are motivated by greed, even though we may not admit it.

I don't blame AD one bit. In his life, one rough hit by an OT that causes injury, or one rough tackle, and his career is through. Make the money while ya can.

Conversely, if I were Rams management, I would either offer him 21/22M, or maybe play hardball and pay him the 7M this year and tag him the next two. I have no strong opinion one way or the other. Football is a business, in many respects it is all about the money. Kronke has done everything he's done, because he wants to make money.

BTW, I'm also involved in religious ministry, (I hope that allowable for me to say), so I have seen the debilitating effects of greed upon families. In some cases it was horrible. But in this particular case I don't blame AD for going for the money. Just one bad hit to the knee and his great career could be over.

Donald's holdout is pure greed and not altruism.
