If he is prepared to sit out his contract there is no way on earth he can ever make that money back.
This is about perceived 'respect' and his ego's desire for said respect.
AD wants a contract so huge that it will be another 2 or 3 years before he gets passed.
At which pointiof he is still playing at this level, he'll want a new contract.
I don't give a rats behind what anybody says this is quite clearly about ego.
Having said that, I seriously, seriously want to sign the guy. He is a once in a generation type of player.
Good points UK and I agree with most of what you say. He will never make up the money he has lost by turning down these offers. I also agree he has a BIG ego. Maybe he should, after all, he is the BEST DT in the game. Just not a $25 mil a year DT and I will add that IMO, he most likely wants a shorter contract so he can break the bank again. IMO, he wants BOTH money AND an early "out".
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
