he may very well be the best, but Rams have the leverage and it should be used. We all may love AD, but I also love Gurley, Peters, Cooks, etc.... You cannot make AD the highest paid defender and keep the other guys as well. I am certain Rams are offering AD a very generous deal, but this idea that he must be "highest paid defender" is nonsense imho. Work out a deal that benefits everyone and move on. If the Agents are set on "resetting the market for defenders," this will get ugly.
