We criticize draft picks (well I do!).
We discuss how this draft pick is going to make us a contender.
We complain that the media doesn't talk about the Rams.
We feel all warm and fuzzy when that same media talks about anything Rams.
We wait anxiously to see what the media grades our draft or our free agent signings.
But...when it comes time to pay the guy who is a grand slam of draft picks, one who makes the Rams a talk of the town..."Don't pay him!" "He's too expensive!"
We have a plethora of WalMart player shoppers here.
I would bet the bank that the two #1's we would get for Donald would be less impact for the team than 1 Aaron Donald. There is a reason he is viewed as a generational player...as described by our own Wade Philips, who compares his impact to Reggie White and Bruce Smith.
I bet if you did a analysis on the most used phrase on this board, the number one phrase would be "costs too much".
