Tavon is an easy answer. He's not that good of a receiver. He couldn't even stand out when the wr cupboard was bare. He certainly wasn't going to steal targets from kupp, Watkins, woods, and gurley. As for Watkins, perhaps his primary objective is to spread the field with his deep speed (which he has done. Check out the game review of the Robert woods touchdown against Houston ). Guys are often wide open in Mcvay's scheme, in part because of the route concepts. We'll know the answer this off-season. If Watkins has done his job then we'll see him back next year. If he's expendable then he'll be gone.
Not really. I think Watkins has done his job AND my guess is that he'll be gone.
Simply because he'll ask for more, possibly a lot more, than the Rams want to spend. Hard to imagine AD being gone but, heck, it's a real possibility even with him - and I doubt anyone affliated w/the Rams this "he hasn't done his job."
