So, your bottom line, how high would you go on Watkins salary to extend him? Or do you have a limit?
My arbitrary line in the sand is $10 million per for a minimum of 5 years and I’m fine with a heavy guarantee. But if Watkins wants more, then I’m fine with dipping back into the FA pool with S&M calling the shots. Like they did with Woods last year.

On a long term extension in light of Jeffrey's and Devante Adams, I'm estimating he'll get something in the $11.5M range. I'd be comfortable with that.
But that's not my preference. Given his lower than expected production, I'd be most comfortable with doing a 1 year prove it deal like Jeffrey's and Prior did last year. It really doesn't matter much what you pay over 1 year because there is no long term risk. I do hope that they don't have to use the franchise tag though.
My least favorite outcome is to let him walk. I'm not at all comfortable with what I see out there in the FA pool and as I posted the other day, I'm skeptical that the Rams can "pull a Woods" this year. Woods was a homerun, value signing that don't happen every year.
