The Rams can find a speed guy like Austin...or maybe Cooper develops more.
Watkins is on the field a lot. Austin isn't.
I've mentioned this before...Goff doesn't "take shots". What I mean is Goff doesn't throw a ball up and say "My guy (Watkins) will out muscle your guy and make the grab."
Watkins is that type of receiver and you see it with #1's all the time...QB's take shots downfield and know that their #1 will win draw a pass interference, or at least make certain it's not intercepted. Jones, Brown, Hopkins, etc....they get those throws. Watkins doesn't and it affects his results.
Watkins is our best Red Zone target.
